For Arthur-B healthcare and Micjee, the focus was on testing for HIV, HBV, HCV and syphilis for the inmates, which was carried out successful by the five man team of both organization. At the end of the outreach programme a total of 112 were attended to with the following services;

  • No tested for HIV- 39 MALE- 32 FEMALE- 7 POSITIVE- 0
  • NO tested for HBV- 112 MALE- 101 FEMALE- 11 POSITIVE – 1 (male)
  • NO tested for HCV- 112 MALE- 101 FEMALE- 11 POSITIVE- 0
  • NO tested for VDRL- 14 MALE – 14 FEMALE – 11 POSITIVE – 0

The team was the only group that conducted HBV, HCV and VDRL during the outreach, that was why few persons where tested for HIV as there was enough counsel/ testers from ABSACA, IPs and other CSO on HIV testing; these other teams were able to screen all the inmates that came out for the exercise for HIV but not all were tested for HBV, HCV and VDRL due to insufficient kits.
